Service with a smile

Dental appointments often make patients apprehensive; however, Dr. Ehfad Shah and his staff at Cobblestone Dental Center can make anyone feel at ease with their philosophy of personal attention, kindness and understanding. 

Shah opened Cobblestone Dental Center in the Maricopa Professional Village next to Walgreens in 2006 with a purpose of helping people develop and maintain good health. While he has worked for other dental offices, he wanted to own his own business. “I wanted the autonomy of being a business owner,” said Shah. “I wanted to run the office as I saw fit and decide how to best serve the community.”

Shah graduated from La Salle University in Philadelphia before attending nearby Temple University Dental School. After receiving his graduate degree from Temple in 2001, Shah moved west to enjoy the warmth and sunshine.

Shah and his wife, Shazia, along with their two young children, enjoy Arizona and are happy to be located close to family who live in the area. He enjoys traveling and outdoor activities, taking advantage of the Arizona weather to hike and bike whenever possible.

Over the past four years Shah has seen many changes in Maricopa, including many residents who have come and gone. “There are a lot of challenges but also a lot of new opportunities in a growing city like ours,” Shah said. “We are here for the long run.”

Shah acknowledges that many hands contribute to Cobblestone Dental Center’s success. “As a dentist and as a business owner, I rely heavily on my staff.”

His staff consists of office manager Corrie Kelley, front office personnel Kathy Robb and Lauren Ortega, hygienist Kimberley Thomason and dental assistants Shaina Lamorgese and Chelsea Brown.

Cobblestone offers general, cosmetic and restorative dentistry. Serving patients of all ages, the office uses the latest technology and accepts several insurance plans. The team aims to provide superior customer service at all times, as evidenced by the flat-screen TVs in the treatment rooms.

There’s one in the lobby, too, but there is rarely time to enjoy it as Shah, respecting his patients’ time as his own, is almost always on schedule.
