Maricopa Unified School District Supt. Tracey Lopeman will get a performance review when the governing board takes her behind closed doors tomorrow night.

The MUSD Governing Board will review Lopeman in an executive session scheduled to be called after the board’s 6 p.m. regular meeting. The meeting takes place in the boardroom at district HQ, 44150 W. Maricopa-Casa Grande Highway.

Lopeman makes $163,000 a year plus benefits in the district that serves nearly 9,000 students. She stands to earn a raise after tomorrow’s evaluation.

The school board extended her contract in May to go until 2026.

Throughout her tenure, which began in 2018, Lopeman and her team have worked to increase teacher retention rates, student enrollment and foster academic growth.

Lopeman was awarded her full 5% performance pay by the governing board last year.

The governing board is required by state law to include performance pay as part of Lopeman’s compensation package.
