Tootsie would love to be your pet pig

Instead of the traditional pet, a dog or a cat, how about a pot bellied pig?

Tootsie, who is about two years old, is very well-behaved. Pot bellied pigs have a life expectancy of 15-17 years, so she is just a toddler.

This girl is 16 inches tall and 37 inches long; she weighs 58 pounds.

Alone and frightened, a rescue service found Tootsie wandering the streets of Tempe.  She was placed with a foster family until her owner could be located; however, no one ever came forward to claim her.

According to the foster family, Tootsie clearly was housebroken and has wonderful habits. She knows basic commands like “sit” and “stay” and would make a great family pet—even easier than some dogs.

Tootsie would do best with other pigs unless she can get daily attention.

She eats pig pellets and some fresh fruits and vegetables.
