A six-week road project continues this week on State Route 347.
Work will resume Sunday night to seal pavement on 15-plus miles of the highway between I-10 and Hathaway Avenue in Maricopa.
Crews with Cholla Pavement of Apache Junction are working between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. from Sunday to Thursday.
Lane restrictions – both northbound and southbound – will be in place throughout the project. Traffic will be restricted to one lane. Work will be limited to three-mile segments in one direction of travel during each overnight restriction.
The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to slow down and use caution around construction personnel and equipment while work is underway. Work schedules are subject to change based on weather and other unforeseen factors.
