A motorist sustained minor injuries to his head after crashing into a residential wall Sunday morning, according to police.

Just before 9:45 a.m., Maricopa police and fire crews responded to a single vehicle collision on the west side of Butterfield Parkway near Snow Drive in the Villages at Rancho El Dorado, according to city spokesperson Monica Williams.

The male driver sustained “minor head injuries likely caused by airbag deployment,” Williams said. He was transported to a local hospital for evaluation.

There were no other occupants in the vehicle.

At about 10:45 a.m., a white truck was towed away from the scene. The wall was later boarded up.

Maricopa police are investigating the cause of the crash.
