Maricopa’s Desert STARS Volleyball Club will host three clinics this Saturday, Sept. 14 and Oct. 12 to help ready players for club tryouts in November, or just to learn such basic skills as passing, setting and game rules.
Organizers said they are hoping to attract more girls and boys to get involved and play on a club team.
The fee is $10 and each participant will need to sign a waiver. There will be two sessions, separated by age group at Sequoia Pathway Academy, 19265 N. Porter Road:
• Elementary school ages: 9 to 11 a.m.
• Middle school ages: 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
