Maricopa police arrested a woman after she accidently spit on a cop’s face.
Cops arrested 39-year-old Jennifer M. Aldridge at her home on West Avella Drive in Glennwilde after she allegedly attacked a man there, according to a probable-cause statement obtained by InMaricopa.
Police responded to a reported disturbance at the home just before midnight Saturday. A man told officers Aldridge yelled at, slapped and spit on him.
MPD did not disclose Aldridge’s relationship to the man, but noted he is not her husband.
Aldridge’s daughter showed cops video footage of the incident, which showed Aldridge yelling at the man, hitting him in the side of the head and spitting in his face, according to police documents.
A separate video showed Aldridge fighting with her husband because she wanted to kick the man out of the house.
Aldridge’s two daughters, one a child, witnessed the incident.
Police arrested Aldridge, but as she was escorted to the police car, she tried to spit on the man’s face one last time. She missed and struck an officer with her spit.
Aldridge was booked into the Pinal County jail on one felony count of aggravated assault on an officer and five more domestic violence charges of assault and disorderly conduct.
She faces four and a half years in prison.
