Three people in an SUV died Wednesday afternoon in a collision with a semi-truck on northbound State Route 347 at Casa Blanca Road, the Department of Public Safety said.

The accident occurred Nov. 29 at 3:21 p.m. A DPS representative said the tractor trailer may have T-boned the SUV.

Bart Graves, DPS spokesman, said there are no reported injuries to the semi driver at this time.

DPS has shut down the northbound 347 lanes and “expect(s) an extended closure for several hours,” Graves said.
