Honeycutt Road was blocked in both directions near Santa Rosa Parkway around 11 a.m. Tuesday after a car accident scattered debris across the road.
The accident involved a gold Toyota Prius and a mid-size gray SUV. The police on scene were unsure how the collision occurred.
According to the Maricopa Police Department, three people were transported to Chandler Regional Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. Two teenagers from the Prius were being evaluated for injuries sustained from the car’s airbags, and an adult female from the SUV was also taken as a precaution.
Another person was transported with the victims of the accident, but that medical condition was unrelated to the collision.
Honeycutt is expected to open back up by the early afternoon. Traffic is currently being diverted through the Senita subdivision.
