Monsoon season could rear its head again over the weekend

After a relatively dry week, the skies over Maricopa could open up a bit, according to the National Weather Service. With a 10-30 percent chance of rain starting Friday and carrying on into next week and daily-high temperatures hanging around 100, the valley could be in for a humid weekend.

Today looks to be sunny with a high around 105 during the day and a low near 83 at night as a small 10 percent chance of rain moves in from the northwest.

Friday will likely be partly cloudy with around 101 during the day and a low near 82 at night as a 20 percent chance of rain again drifts in from the northwest.

Saturday should see a 20-30 percent chance of rain throughout the day as the temperature hits a high of around 98 during the day and a low near 82 at night.
