A sunny Labor Day is giving way to sparse showers this week, according to the National Weather Service, possibly easing temperatures for the coming weekend. A 10-20 percent chance of rain on Tuesday, and a 10-30 percent chance on Thursday and Friday, is likely to drop daily highs below 100 for a few days.

Today is forecast to be mostly sunny with a 10-20 percent chance of rain in the afternoon and early evening, a high temperature around 103 and a low near 77.

Wednesday should also be mostly sunny with a high around 104 and a low near 77.

Thursday will likely again be mostly sunny with a 10 percent chance of rain, a high of around 102 and a low near 76.

Friday looks to be partly cloudy with a 30 percent chance of rain in the afternoon and evening with a high temperature of around 98 and a low near 75.
