ADOT: John Wayne Parkway night restrictions underway

Arizona Department of Transportation officials warn motorists to expect overnight traffic restrictions on John Wayne Parkway today through Sunday.

Maricopa motorists should be aware of paving work taking place after dark on John Wayne Parkway, also known as State Route 347, ADOT officials said.

Northbound John Wyne Parkway will be restricted nightly to one lane between Lakeview Drive-Cobblestone Farms Drive and the northern city limit. Restrictions last from 7 pm. to 5 a.m., beginning today and ending Friday morning.

Northbound John Wayne Parkway will be restricted nightly to one lane between Smith Enke Road and Lakeview/Cobblestone Farms Drive from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. beginning Friday and ending Sunday.

ADOT also alerts motorists of a coming restriction on future paving work. Northbound John Wayne Parkway will be restricted nightly to one lane between Smith Enke Road and the northern city limit from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. beginning April 17 and ending the morning of April 20.

ADOT officials urge motorists to slow down and use caution when driving through work zones.
