Two lien notices were taped inside the windows of the Arena Sports Grill on John Wayne Parkway.

The business was closed, and a FedEx tag taped to the door had the box checked: “Location closed or not available.”

The lien was place by the owner/landlord, Transitions Investments of Phoenix. It was against all personal property, furniture, fixtures and improvements within the business.

Property manager Ryan Christopher verified a lien had been placed on the business, but said he could not comment further.

Arena Sports Grill has a second location in Scottsdale. An employee took a message for one of the owners, Steve Stephens, who was unavailable.

The sports bar opened in Maricopa in February 2007.

The restaurant offered a full-service bar, pool tables, darts and several 50-inch high-definition televisions, along with a 120-inch big screen to show basketball, baseball, hockey and football games.
