Former Vice Mayor Brent Murphree recently attended his first seminar with Project CENTRL Class 21.

Project CENTRL (Center for Rural Leadership) is an intensive two-year educational program based in Casa Grande that provides selected individuals personal and professional leadership development.

“It helps participants improve their skills, especially on rural issues,” Murphree said.

Along with Murphree, there are 21 other Arizonans from across state attending the class. They will graduate in October 2013.

Murphree is regional communications manager for the National Cotton Board, an organization that supports research and promotion of the American cotton industry.
