The Pinal County Sheriff’s Office has recently broken up three different burglaries and stolen property operations across the county, resulting in multiple arrests, the recovery of thousands of dollars worth of property and the seizure of numerous explosive devices.

Two search warrants have been served at 19319 Avenita Del Oro in Catalina following a two-month investigation into several burglaries and an aggravated assault in the Oracle area. Pinal County Sheriff’s Deputies recovered stolen property, including copper wire and a .22 rifle believed to have been used in the assault two months earlier.

A vehicle on the property not only had stolen property in it, but also several pipe bombs. Additional property recovered included tools and construction equipment. Also seized were drug paraphernalia and suspected marijuana, approx $10,000 worth of assets and a Jeep 4×4 vehicle.

A later search warrant led to the recovery of tools and materials taken in a burglary from the Biosphere. Tools located in this search warrant were later identified as having come from a burglary in the Queen Creek area.

Arrested in this case were:

Scott Husted, 24, of Catalina, booked into the Pinal County Adult Detention Center for misconduct with weapons, hindering prosecution and a probation violation warrant.

Christina Blick, 38, of Catalina, booked for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Peyton Skipwith, 43, of Catalina, booked for trafficking in stolen property, burglary and theft.

Cody Kent, 41, of Catalina, booked for possession of a prohibited weapon (explosives), possession of drugs, paraphernalia and theft.

In the Arizona City area, Pinal County Sheriff’s Office Deputies, following up on information received from the Casa Grande Police Department, discovered a stolen weapon. Sheriff’s Office Property Crimes Detective joined the investigation, which lead to a search warrant in Arizona City. Stolen property worth over $10,000 was recovered, including 29 different weapons, motorcycles and quads, tools and electronic equipment from burglaries in Pinal County and the City of Casa Grande.

Arrested in this on going investigation was:

Alexis Lecero Martinez, 24, of Arizona City, on theft charges. This case is an on-going investigation with additional arrests anticipated.

In the Copper Basin area of San Tan/Queen Creek, Pinal County Sheriff’s Deputies, investigating a residential burglary, were able to locate and identify a suspect, which led to a search warrant. Numerous items, believed to be stolen, were located during the execution of that warrant. Property Crimes Unit Detectives joined the investigation, and it is currently on going.

Over $2,500 worth of electronics (lap-tops, play station) was recovered in this case.

Arrested in this case was: Erik Munoz, 19, of Queen Creek, booked for burglary and theft.
