Rawhide at Wild Horse Pass is offering a Kids Eat Free and Seniors Sunset Special this summer

Rawhide Steakhouse will offer a Kids Eat Free to children 11 and under, which includes up to two free kids¹ meals for every adult entrée purchased starting June 1. This offer is valid from June 1 through Sept. 30 with blackout dates July 4 and Aug. 4.

In addition to deals for kids, Rawhide Steakhouse offers the Seniors Sunset Special from June 1 through Sept. 30 to folks 55 and over.

Seniors will receive 15 percent off their total bill every night of the week between 5-6 p.m.

Secondhand Pages grand opening, story time

Secondhand Pages will feature a special children’s story time and visit from a reading therapy dog during their official grand opening June 9 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Story time with Miss Kerry of “Little Acorns” Preschool begins at 11 a.m., and Sherman the therapy dog will be there at 12:30.

In addition, there will be a raffle for gift certificates at the bookstore, for a massage and a “buy three get a fourth one free” book special. Secondhand Pages is also displaying photographs from local artists and looking for more works in addition to story time volunteers.

City Hires Public Affairs Manager

Jennifer Grentz will be the new public affairs manager for the City of Maricopa. She comes to Maricopa from Kyrene School District and has extensive experience working for the City of Mesa, ASU and the Phoenix Art Museum. She will be taking over as the official media contact for Maricopa, and handling all press releases, Orbitel Channel 20 announcements, the city Web site and all other media and public information related tasks. Chamber of Commerce monthly mixer

The Maricopa Chamber of Commerce will hold its monthly mixer at Native New
