A ramada is being constructed in the common area at Century Communities, 19180 N. Los Gabrieles Way, at a cost of $39,000. Agave Environmental Contracting Inc. is doing the work.

A new shade sail will be installed at the park at 39971 W. Michaels Drive in The Lakes at Rancho El Dorado by Silver Fern Companies. The $35,000 project is being done for owner Richmond American Homes of Arizona Inc.

The Copa Flats apartment community will spend $463,000 to install 422-kilowatt and 541-kilowatt commercial solar panels on the roof at 17485 N. Porter Road. The system is being installed by Commercial Solar Arizona LLC.

Maricopa has been issued a design review permit for its new Public Safety Facility to be built south of the current police station and east of the library at 39700 W. Civic Center Boulevard.

Bungalows on Bowlin LLC have begun work on 14 single-story, one-bedroom duplexes at 44900 W. Bowlin Road. The units are 676 square feet. Also, 14 three-bedroom units of 1,355 square feet will be built. Each $2.8 million phase of construction will be done by La Casa Dulce LLC.

Duplex construction is underway at REV@Porter at 17805 N. Porter Road. Seven one-bedroom and seven two-bedroom units will be built at a cost of $2.1 million for owner EVR Porter LLC. The one-bedroom units will be 782 square feet; two-bedrooms will be 1,093 square feet. Also under construction are multi-family units of two and three bedrooms. The latest phase will include nine two-bedroom units of 1,106 square feet and one three-bedroom, 1,291-square-foot unit. The cost of this phase is $1.7 million with all work being done by Sodella Construction LLC.

REV@Porter will begin construction on a community swimming pool and spa at 17805 N. Porter Road at a cost of $109,500. The 1,326-square-foot pool and spa are being built by Rondo Pools and Spas for EVR Porter LLC.

Commercial on-site improvements have begun for the Innovation Village phase of West Maricopa Village at 21055 N. Village Parkway. The $12 million initial construction phase for the project comprises 182 one- and two-bedroom, single-family homes for rent on 16.3 acres. The work will include grading and drainage, stormwater pollution prevention, on-site paving, and underground stormwater storage. The work is being done for Maricopa 35 LLC by Crabtree Contracting LLC.

The Volkswagen Proving Ground at 17169 N. Murphy Road will undergo improvements to underground storm drains with Hunter Contracting Co. doing the work.

A 1,124-square-foot commercial pool and spa is being built for the community at Copa Flats apartments, 17485 N. Porter Road., Building D at a cost of $178,000. The project, which includes a 400K BTU heater, is being built by Presidential Pools.
