Chamber holding upcoming elections

Elections for new officers on the Maricopa Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors are ongoing. Chamber members whose dues are current are eligible to run.

Anyone wishing to seek a seat on the board can do so by submitting a letter of intent along with a current bio by email: [email protected], by mail: Maricopa Chamber of Commerce, 44780 W. Hathaway Ave., Suite 5, Maricopa, AZ., 85239 or in person: Maricopa Chamber of Commerce, 44780 W. Hathaway Ave., Suite 5, Maricopa, AZ., 85239. All letters of intent must be received by the close of business, 5 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 15, 2007.

There are three seats available, with each seat carrying a three-year term. The Chamber is looking for people committed to the Chamber and the community.

The nominees will be announced on Oct. 16 and balloting will begin Nov. 15.

This year, the Chamber will be sending out ballots via U.S. mail. Voting can be done either by mail, Chamber office drop off or final chance at the Dec. 13 breakfast. The winners will be announced on Dec. 14.

Each member company will receive one ballot and one vote. The ballots will be sent to the primary person listed on individual’s membership.

The new board members will be joining the following individuals as the Maricopa Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors for 2008: Veronica Reeves (Wells Fargo Bank), Mark Molus (1ST Impressions Ink), Vicki Pettes (The Communicator), Jake Romero (Chase Bank) and Danielle Casey (City of Maricopa, non-voting).
