You actually own a real Christmas tree? If you’re not already sick of vacuuming, you will be soon, and there are several options available to dispose of your tree when you are.

City of Maricopa – Free disposal is offered at the Maricopa Recycle/Transfer Station, 46250 W. McDavid Road, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Dec. 31, Jan. 7, Jan. 14 and Jan. 21. Trees must be stripped of ornaments, garlands, tinsel, flocking and stands.

Waste Management – Waste Management does not collect holiday trees for recycling in the city of Maricopa.

Waste Connections of Arizona – Contact RAD at 480-983-9100 to arrange for free, special collection. Tree must be placed on the curb by 6 a.m. on your scheduled collection day.

Republic – Republic will provide a special collection for Christmas Trees up to 8 feet long during the first two weeks of January on your regularly scheduled yard waste day. Remove all decorations and tinsel before placing at the curb. Trees not picked up by the second Wednesday in January will be collected with the trash the following week.

Just Haul It – The local waste removal company will pick up your tree Dec. 26 through Jan. 20 on your schedule. They charge a donation of $20 or at least 10 cans of food, which will be donated to a local food bank. Arrange your pick-up on their website or call 480-253-9366.
