City donates $1,500 to Maricopa Little League

Maricopa supports its youth, and it’s opening its wallet to young athletes who have shown their athletic skills this summer through Little League programs.

Mayor Anthony Smith announced on Tuesday that the city will be cutting checks to both the girls and boys Little League programs for $750 each.

Both programs have won district championships and are competing at the state level in Northern Arizona (see “Maricopa girls advance to state softball tournament” and “Maricopa Little League headed to state championships in Flagstaff“).
