City issues 14 new-home permits in February

The city of Maricopa issued a total of 14 new single-family housing permits in February.

That number is one more than the 13 permits the city issued in January and 92 less than the city issued in February 2008.

So far this fiscal year, homebuilders have been issued 273 permits, an average of 34 a month.

Last fiscal year, the city averaged 133 new-home permits per month.
