City offers $1 rides New Year’s Eve

On New Year’s Eve, the city of Maricopa will offer $1 one-way shuttle service of the COMET to provide residents with safe transportation options.

Service will begin at 10 p.m. and will cover any Maricopa location as well as Harrah’s Ak-Chin Casino and the UltraStar Multi-tainment Center.

Interested riders may begin scheduling pick-up times at 7 a.m., Monday by calling 602-740-6579. Reservations will be taken until 2 a.m., Jan. 1.

Riders may be picked up at their home or any Maricopa location. Transportation services will be available for $1 per person for a one-way trip.

This is the first year the city is offering the New Year’s Eve service.
