City open house to discuss possible White & Parker grade separation

66

The city of Maricopa will host an open house on Sept. 16. to discuss the Maricopa-Casa Grande Highway (MCG) – White and Parker Road Major Investment Study.

The event will take place at 6 p.m. in Saddleback Elementary School’s multi-purpose room.

The City of Maricopa Regional Transportation Plan (RTP) identifies a network of roadway facilities intended to accommodate future growth. One of the key recommendations of the study designates several routes as potential Arizona Parkways. This includes the MCG Highway and White & Parker and Farrell Roads. The future Arizona Parkways will complete an internal loop within the city and will serve to reduce traffic congestion. The RTP recommends a new grade separation near the intersection of those roads.

Identifying feasible concepts for a grade separation in this area is the purpose of the Major Investment Study.

City staff, along with study team members, will be present at the open house to answer questions and provide information. Area residents’ participation is encouraged and appreciated.
