The holiday season is upon us, and some city of Maricopa employees will get extended time off to celebrate.

City Hall will be closed Thursday, Dec. 23-Sunday, Jan. 2 and will reopen for business Monday, Jan. 3. According to city spokesman Quinn Konold, during the closure the Public Services Department will continue to operate during those dates, but with limited staffing.

Essential services will continue to operate during the break, including the city’s Public Safety Departments which include Police, Fire and Dispatch.

Copper Sky and the Maricopa Public Library & Cultural Center will also remain open for most of those dates. A complete list of closures for Copper Sky and the Library and Cultural Center is below.

Copper Sky:

Christmas Eve – Closed at 12 p.m.

Christmas Day – Closed all day

New Year’s Eve – Closed at 12 p.m.

New Year’s Day – Closed all day.

Jan. 2, 2022 – Open 12 p.m.-5 p.m.

Library and Cultural Center:

Christmas Eve – Closed at 12 p.m.

Christmas Day – Closed all day.

New Year’s Eve – Closed at 12 p.m.

New Year’s Day – Closed all day.

Community/Senior Center:

Christmas – Closed from Dec. 23-30.

Any days not listed above will operate during their normal hours.
