Hundreds of people turned out for the second annual Copa Glow night market and hot air balloon fest at Copper Sky Regional Park on Friday night. About a dozen colorful balloons illuminated the night sky while people lined up for food trucks and shopped with artisans, crafters and other businesses.
Some fest-goers paid for the thrill of rising above the park in the basket of a balloon as a DJ provided a soundtrack for the night. Native Grill & Wings hosted a craft beer garden by the lake.
The vast majority of patrons wore masks as they watched the balloons sway with a light wind, with a city staffer reminding people about required masks and physical distancing as they entered the festival area.
