A woman held her husband at gunpoint after he went to bed early yesterday, according to the Maricopa Police Department.

Maricopa cops arrested 41-year-old Kristyn Thomsen at a home on West Sandstone Drive in Cobblestone Farms just after 10 p.m., according to a probable cause statement obtained by InMaricopa.

Thomsen’s husband said the couple had been drinking before he went to bed at 7 p.m.

He said his wife came into the bedroom drunk and angry that he went to bed early.

According to police, Thomsen followed her husband downstairs and pointed a firearm at him.

Two witnesses corroborated Thomsen pointed a gun at her husband during the argument.

Thomsen, however, said her husband was verbally abusive. She denied having a gun and said she asked her daughter to call the police.

The firearm was found in the front yard.

Thomsen was booked into the Pinal County jail on domestic violence charges of disorderly conduct with a weapon and threatening.

She faces up to two and a half years behind bars.
