NEWS RELEASE

Waitlist registration will open next week for groups 1A and 1B for the second COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic at Copper Sky Recreation Complex on Saturday, Feb. 20.

The online registration link will be released Tuesday, Feb. 16, at about 4 p.m. and the first 200 qualified registrants may be put on the waitlist. Please note – registering for the waitlist does not guarantee an opportunity to receive the vaccine.

Waitlist registration will be available only for residents who qualify under groups 1A or 1B as classified below:

Group 1A:
• Healthcare Professionals
• Long-term Care Residents

Group 1B:
• Essential Workers and Infrastructure (Including Law Enforcement, Corrections Officers, Education Sector, Food and Agriculture, Utilities and Transportation)
• Persons aged 65 years and older

If you don’t already have one, we highly recommend that you sign up for a free Activenet account to expedite the vaccine registration process. You can do so by visiting this link. Creating an Activenet account does not guarantee registration; it only allows access to the registration portal so you can sign up for the waitlist when it becomes active.

Again, the vaccination is only available to the groups listed above. Walk-ins and onsite registration are not permitted; all qualified participants must pre-register. Participants must submit a completed pre-qualification questionnaire to ensure they qualify to receive the vaccine. For information regarding qualification, visit the Pinal County Health Department.

The clinic at the Copper Sky Multigenerational Center facility is well-equipped and spacious to allow for physical distancing of large groups. All visitors will be required to wear masks that cover the nose and mouth and maintain a distance of at least six feet from others.

Individuals who register on the waitlist and are selected to receive their first dose of the vaccination will be required to visit the Pinal County Health Department website to schedule their second vaccination. Southwestern Pediatrics and Family Care and the City of Maricopa cannot guarantee administration of the second dose.

Please do not contact Southwestern Pediatrics and Family Care or the City of Maricopa by phone. If you have any questions, email [email protected].
