Cub Scouts offer Christmas tree pickup

114

Your tree looked beautiful—all those lights and ornaments sparkled. However, now that Christmas is over, some of its needles are drying out and starting to fall.

It’s time to contact Cub Scout Pack 997.

This year will be the 6th annual live Christmas tree pick up for the Scouts, who hope to raise funds while preventing Christmas trees from becoming fire hazards at the same time.

Schedule your tree pick up by Jan. 4; it’s easy to do.

Email [email protected] and leave your name, address, phone number and the name of the subdivision where you live. Then, simply have your tree at your curb by 9 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 8. Pack 997 will do the rest!

Picking up Christmas trees is a fundraiser for the Cub Scouts. They spend all day picking up trees to help pay for their activities throughout the year, including camping trips.

The suggested donation for this service is $10, and checks can be made out to Cub Scout Pack 997.
