Everyone seems to love the energetic, playful, goofiness of dogs — as long as they do it outside the house.

That’s been a problem in Maricopa, until now. The city has opened its second dog park, at Pacana Park, to relieve its initial recreation area for canines at Copper Sky Regional Park.

Residents eager for more options to enjoy quality time with their beloved pets had been pleading with the city for a facility like this.

Pacana dog park, behind the baseball field, offers plenty of space for dogs to run and play, as well as a space for pet owners to relax and socialize.

Among the first visitors to the new park was Rocky Myers and his dog, Kody, a 3-year-old Samoyed. Kody, who weighs in at a whopping 100 pounds, is a friendly and social dog who loves meeting new people, dogs and kids.

Rocky, who has lived in Maricopa since 2012, was excited to bring Kody to the new park, which is just around the corner from their home.

The dog park provides a safe and enjoyable space for dogs to exercise and socialize. It’s also a great way for pet owners to meet and connect.

Whether you’re a resident or just visiting, the new dog park in Maricopa is a must-see destination for anyone looking to spend some quality time with their furry companions.
