Ready to find your new best friend?

Pinal County Animal Care and Control has you covered. It’s waiving fees during a pet adoption event tomorrow at Tractor Supply Co.

The event, taking place at 17590 Shea Way from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., will feature a few friendly yet overlooked dogs available for adoption.

PCACC Adoption Coordinator Jodi Gall said the waived fees are due to overcrowding in the animal shelter.

“We are currently facing a space crisis, so a lot of the dogs are having to cohabitate with other dogs,” she said. “That can be stressful on them. We also don’t want the cost of an adoption to affect their ability to go into a loving home.”

The shelter currently houses 186 dogs in its Casa Grande location, according to its adoptions page.

For people looking to bring a fuzzy friend to their life, Gall said future pet parents will just need to bring a photo ID.
