Feiles: I gave my best effort to make you proud

712

At the conclusion of this primary, it is apparent that I shall not be chosen to be of service on Maricopa City Council. I am disappointed, but not discouraged. I ran an honorable campaign based partially on my record of service to the community, but more on my experience as a local business owner, formally educated and practiced engineer, MAP member and Parks, Recreation and Libraries Committee Member. Those qualities have not left me.

Since I moved to Maricopa three years ago I have been doing everything I can to support our town. I will continue to build on my service as a Platinum Member of the Maricopa Advocates Program and be the best possible role model for leadership in Maricopa – everything I have done, I will continue to do. I will apply for and take part in opportunities to serve as they become available. Any decision to seek office in the future will be determined by my personal situation at the time, and whether I think my participation will be of value to our City.

Serving on City Council is a privilege and high responsibility. As I believe each candidate has the duty of earning the support of the voters, I will not offer any official endorsements going forward.

My family extends throughout Maricopa, via my school and the relationships I have built and work hard to support every day. To all the people of Maricopa who stood with me, I feel blessed and humbled to know your friendship. I was not successful in the campaign, but I gave my best effort to make you proud. I am thankful for the opportunity to be part of this community and the ability to make a difference in the lives of the families here.

I will continue to be available to offer my service and leadership to Maricopa whenever possible.
