Fire District Board to meet Wednesday in special session

Maricopa Fire District’s governing board will hold a special meeting Wednesday to discuss the status of the pension fund, a loan repayment agreement and a KB Home property lease for a fire station site. The agenda follows:

BOARD OF DIRECTORS SPECIAL MEETING
October 11, 2006

PURSUANT TO A.R.S. § 38-431
Notice is hereby given to the public that the Maricopa Fire District governing board will hold a regular meeting on Wednesday, October 11, 2006. The meeting will be held at 44624 West Garvey Avenue, Maricopa, Arizona. The meeting will be open to the public and will begin at 6:30 PM.

The following is a list of items that may, or may not, be discussed at the meeting. Action or decisions may, or may not, be taken on any or all items.

1. Call to Order

2. Pledge of Allegiance

3. Roll Call and confirmation of Quorum

4. Consideration and possible adoption of a Resolution approving the form and authorizing the execution and delivery of a loan repayment agreement and a continuing disclosure undertaking; accepting a loan from the Greater Arizona Development Authority (GADA), pursuant to such loan repayment agreement; authorizing the approval of the portions of an official statement describing the District and the Distribution and use thereof and delegating to the Fire Chief the authority to designate matters with respect to such loan repayment agreement.

5. Status Report on Pension Fund Settlement

6. Review, discussion and possible action regarding approval of KB Home memorandum of understanding and property agreement allowing for lease of Fire Station property for a fee of $1.00 per annum.

11. Call to the Public: The procedure to follow if you would like to address the Board: You are given three (3) minutes or less to express your ideas, voice concerns, ask questions. You are to refrain from any personal attacks or derogatory statements about any District Board Member or Employee. The Chairperson will limit discussion whenever it is deemed that such an action is appropriate to the proper conduct of the meeting.

Notice: One or more members may attend via teleconference. The governing board may vote to go into executive session for the purpose of obtaining legal advice from the Fire District’s attorney on any of the above listed agenda items pursuant to A.R.S. § 38-431.03(A)(3).
