Football contest offers tickets to games, Bud Bowl

The 2007 NFL season, which concludes in Arizona with February’s Super Bowl, commences Thursday when the Colts take on the Saints. That’s also the first game of the 85239 Pick ’em & Win contest sponsored by Native New Yorker and Budweiser.

Maricopans who follow the NFL – and those who don’t – have an opportunity to benefit from their football knowledge – or luck as the case may be – by winning weekly, monthly and a grand prize for picking winning teams during the NFL regular season. The contest is free and open to anyone at least 21 years of age.

Prizes include gift cards to Native New Yorker and tickets to an Arizona Cardinals game and the ASU-USC game Nov. 22. The grand prize is two tickets to the invitation-only Bud Bowl party in Scottsdale during Super Bowl weekend.

The Anheuser Busch sponsored Bud Bowl will take place in Scottsdale and feature entertainment by to-be-announced national recording artists. “It is a private, invitation-only party,” Craig McFarland, vice president/branch manager of Golden Eagle Distributors, Inc., said of the annual Bud Bowl party. “You cannot purchase tickets to this event.”

And the winner of the 85239 Pick ’em Win contest and their guest won’t have to.
