Get ready for a hot one, Maricopa.

Monday is just the beginning of a warmup for a week of higher temperatures that will flirt with triple digits.

Today’s high is expected to top out at 87, with a low of 60 overnight, according to the National Weather Service.

Tuesday, will have a high near 95 degrees under a sunny sky and a north wind at only 5 mph. The night will also be clear, with a low of around 63.

Wednesday’s high will be around 100, but winds will pick up. The day is expected to be breezy with a southeast wind at 5-15 mph and gusts up to 25 mph. Wednesday night will have low around 63. There may be “patchy blowing dust,” according to NWS but mostly clear skies overnight.

Thursday will see more of that patchy dust after 11 a.m. The skies will be sunny, and the high will be near 93 degrees. The wind will continue from the south at 15-20 mph increasing to 20-25 mph in the afternoon with 35 mph gusts. The overnight low will be around 61 with continued wind.

Friday, expect a bit of a cool-down heading into the weekend. The high is forecast to be near 80 degrees under mostly sunny skies. It will be a breezy day, with wind at 10-15 mph and gusts up to 20 mph. Friday night, there will be a 10-percent chance of rain and a low near 55.
