Leading Edge Academy hosted its annual Multicultural Assembly and Fair Friday, celebrating with dance, fashion, poems and art. There were African, Irish, Polynesian and Folklorico dance performances, as well as the Ak- Chin San Juan Children Dancers. Displays included self-portraits and self-identifying poetry.
Leading Edge created a Diversity & Inclusion Committee to help the school “respect the uniqueness of our students and their families and honor their various cultures, racial/ethnic backgrounds, religions, economic status, age and abilities.”
