Library hosting movie days this weekend

The Maricopa Public Library is hosting a special movie showing and snack as part of its summer reading program, ‘Make a Splash—Read.’

The program, which began on June 1, will run until Aug. 7.

The movie will be presented at 10 a.m. on both Friday, June 18, and Saturday, June 19. Space is limited, so register children early.

This month’s movie is “Finding Nemo.” The animated father-son underwater adventure features Nemo, a boy clownfish, stolen from his coral reef home. His timid father must then travel to Sydney and search Sydney Harbor to find Nemo.

Story time is also a weekly feature at the library. Three different story times are available:

Tuesdays at 10 a.m. for children ages 2 and younger
Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m. for ages 3 and 4
Wednesdays at 2 p.m. for children ages 5 and older

For more information about any of these activities, call the library at 520-568-2926.
