Man found dead on greenbelt

A man was found dead on the greenbelt Sunday morning.

Maricopa Police Department responded to West Centennial Road after neighbors reported finding a dead body.

Maricopa Fire and Medical Department responded to the scene near Pacana Park and pronounced the man dead.

Police “did not find anything suspicious or identifying information at the scene,” spokesperson Monica Williams said.

An MPD investigation is ongoing, she said.

The adult man remains unidentified. His cause of death is unknown.

The Pinal County Medical Examiner’s Office is working to identify the deceased man and determine how he died.
