The Maricopa Police Department’s planned substation at Copper Sky Regional Park has been on the capital improvements list since 2013.
As it gets closer to becoming reality, MPD is preparing a new communication center to be located at the station. To explain how that will operate, Chief Steve Stahl will focus his March Coffee with the Chief event on the center.
The monthly coffee is Saturday from 8 to 9 a.m. at MPD headquarters, 39675 W. Civic Center Plaza South.
Communications Manager Jennifer Cruz will explain the new center plans, its capabilities and equipment.
With winter visitors beginning to leave, Coffee with the Chief also offers an opportunity to get on the list for the MPD’s House Watch Program.
