Maricopa High School’s Graphic Muse Design Club is calling for new artists to enter works in the sixth annual Art for the Heart Festival Feb. 10.

Graphic Muse will present the event from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the MHS main courtyard, 45012 W. Honeycutt Ave.

Applications for new artists interested in exhibiting their artwork are available here.

The festival features handmade artworks from artists across the city, and 75% of proceeds are donated to the American Heart Association.

Art for the Heart displays unique artworks for the public to purchase, plus live music and food trucks, school district officials said.

The reservation fee to set up a booth is $60.

The festival is free to the public.

Graphic Muse students are hosting the event in conjunction with the Community Service Project competition. It is part of a circuit in SkillsUSA, a national education nonprofit. SkillsUSA prepares middle, high school and post-secondary students for trade, technical and skilled-service occupations.
