First ‘Coffee with the Chief’ on Saturday

In an effort to foster ongoing communication with citizens of Maricopa, Police Chief Steven Stahl will be hosting a monthly “Coffee with the Chief.”

The first event will take place Saturday from 8 to 9 a.m. at the Maricopa Public Library, 41600 W. Smith-Enke Road.

This event is open to the public with a brief update on the state of the Maricopa Police Department from Stahl, followed by a question and answer session. Everyone is encouraged to “bring your own coffee” and come meet the chief, ask questions and find out what’s happening in the police department.

Stahl came to Maricopa as interim chief in October through an agreement with the Mesa Police Department, where he served as commander. He replaces Patrick Melvin, who retired in October.
