A new non-emergency contact number for the city of Maricopa Police Department will be operational starting 6 a.m. Sept. 30.
The new number will be 520-568-3MPD, or 520-568-3673.
There will be no change in the emergency number, 9-1-1.
The police department encourages citizens to continue using 911 for emergency situations only.
