Walk to support override on Oct. 22

Join supporters of the Maricopa Unified School District budget override as they distribute factual information about the Nov. 8 referendum. 

The walk throughout the city begins at 8 a.m. on Oct. 22.

The six elementary schools will be used as volunteer bases with water and snacks available. 

The middle school and high school staff, parents and students will join the elementary schools within their neighborhood boundaries. The goal is to have at least 40 volunteers at each site. 

The district is hosting a "biggest winner" contest among the school sites.  The site with the most volunteers wins a barbecue hosted by MUSD district office staff.

There is an opportunity to show the community can work together as one unified district.  Sign-up sheets and invitations for parents and community members will be available Monday.
