The Maricopa Unified School District was awarded Monday a Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting by the Association of School Business Officials International.
The award was based on the district’s Comprehensive Annual Financial Report for the 2012-13 fiscal year, according to the association’s press release.
“Recognition through the COE program can help strengthen a district’s presentation for bond issuance statements and promotes a high level of financial reporting,” as stated in the release.
The association supports school business professionals, according to the release.
