Maricopans interested in making some extra cash in the next few months may want to give the local Post Office a call.

The Maricopa Post Office is hiring for temporary relief carriers.

A temporary relief carrier is a person who provides carrier assistance to the Post Office on regular routes, rural routes and as an auxiliary assistant.

The position pays $13.05 an hour, plus mileage.

In order to qualify , a person must have a clean driving record, pass a drug test, provide his or her own vehicle and pass a background check.
