The resurgence in the real estate market in Maricopa continued in May with a small rise in the number of new housing permits issued during the month.
A total of 42 new permits went out last month, just two more than the total for April, but triple the 14 issued in May last year.
In the first five months of this year 136 permits have been pulled, already exceeding the entire count for 2011 of 120 and significantly higher than the entire fiscal year of 2010-11 which saw 111 issued.
