New Life Pregnancy Center’s Awareness Day hosts visit from Easter Bunny

The Easter Bunny came hoppin’ down the bunny trail Saturday. Since he was a week early, it must have been a trial run to help celebrate Awareness Day and the first year of operation for Maricopa’s New Life Pregnancy Center.

The bunny left a trail of eggs after visiting the New Life Pregnancy Center in Maricopa.

Organizer Karen Friess was on hand to decorate and oversee the event.

Director Lucy Kelly provided information about the Center’s programs.

The center is located on the grounds of the First Baptist Church – Maricopa on John Wayne Parkway. Young and old alike were there to enjoy the food, fun and fellowship of the day’s activities, which began at 10 a.m. with the ever-popular egg hunt.

Then they were off — and hunting for those candy-filled Easter eggs.

Jakob and Annalia Wagner were all smiles as they displayed full baskets of eggs and candy.

Austin Treacy was just as happy with two eggs — one for each hand.

It was a beautiful day to be outside, especially with an Easter basket to fill
with candy and eggs. And, surely, after his successful trial run on Saturday, the Easter Bunny will be coming back to Maricopa next weekend.
