No Movie in the Park this weekend

The final Movie in the Park, scheduled for Saturday, July 11, has been canceled.

Since May 9 the city of Maricopa’s Community Services Department has been presenting “Toons Under the Moon,” featuring a mixture of classic Disney and Pixar movies provided by DVD Game Depot.

Movies shown included: “Cars,” “Peter Pan,” “Finding Nemo,” “Jungle Book,” “101 Dalmatians” and “Wall E.”

Films were shown on a 23-foot wide big screen on the soccer field at Pacana Park to provide community entertainment. Games were offered during the pre-show time period, and some vendors were available for snack purchases.
