The City of Maricopa Parks, Recreation and Libraries Department is proud to announce a unique partnership with Gold Medal Swim School. Area children and adults will have the opportunity to take FREE swimming lessons throughout the month of May at Rotary Park Pool (44240 West Maricopa-Casa Grande Highway). Residents can sign up for a free half hour swimming lesson (four lessons maximum) in exchange for one can of non-perishable foods. (See related story.)

“Registration commenced on April 4 and we’ve already registered close to 100 kids,” PRL Director Marty McDonald explained. “We designed the schedule to maximize the use of the pool and allow as many residents as possible to sign up. We created 585 slots or times for lessons.”
