A special meeting of the Maricopa City Council is scheduled for Friday at 3 p.m. The sole agenda item is the purchase of the Peed property, an issue which generated both a lengthy discussion and a stalemate at Tuesday evening’s meeting (see related story). The agenda follows:

5.1 Purchase of Land. The City Council shall discuss and possibly take action on exercising the option to purchase approximately 138.5 acres of property located at the northeast corner of SR238 and Rachael, known as the PEED property. This would complete the purchase of the Peed Property. Discussion and Action.
