73% of city’s restaurants rated ‘excellent’

The Pinal County Public Health Services District ranked 73 percent of the city’s restaurants it inspected in May as “Excellent.”

Papa Murphy’s Pizza, Wal-Mart No. 4430 (bakery), Wal-Mart No. 4430 (retail), Sunrise Cafe, Papago Cantina, Say Sushi, Sonic, Panda Express, Domino’s Pizza, The New HQ, and Seven Cups all received “Excellent” ratings.

Excellent means no violations were found.

Satisfactory scores were awarded to Great Wall, Wal-Mart No. 4430 (deli), The Duke at Rancho El Dorado and Farmer’s Restaurant. 
Satisfactory involves violations corrected during the inspection.

Needs improvement scores are given “where one or more critical items are noted during the inspection and the identified critical items cannot be corrected immediately or prior to the conclusion of the inspection. In these cases, a follow-up inspection is required to verify correction of the previously identified critical items.”
